How long does it take to process a request?
Standard requests are typically processed within 5-7 business days. Processing times may vary based on request complexity and volume.
How do I check the status of my request?
Use the "Check Request Status" feature on our homepage and enter your request number. You'll also receive email notifications when your request status changes.
What if I don't know my case number?
You can still submit a request without a case number. Provide as much detail as possible about the incident (date, location, parties involved) and our staff will locate the report.
Can I request video footage (dashcam, body camera)?
Yes, video evidence requests can be submitted through our online system. Select the "Video Request" option during the request process and specify the type of video needed.
Who can request a police report?
Under Ohio Public Records Law, most police reports are available to the public. However, certain records may be restricted. Contact us if you have questions about specific records.
Important Notice: Audio & Video Records Requests
Requests that include audio or video recordings (such as body-camera footage, dash-camera video, or surveillance video) are subject to the following:
- A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to begin review
- After review, you will receive a written cost estimate
- Fees will not exceed $750 per individual recording
- Processing will pause until the estimated cost is approved and paid
- Records will not be released until full payment is received
